Attachable cup holder (for sofas, side tables, cars)

I designed this cup holder to solve a very specific "problem": my dad's TV nights.

When he sits down to watch TV, his dog always decides to curl up in his lap. The result? My dad gets immobilized by his four-legged friend's affection and can't reach the coffee table. To avoid moving the dog, he would end up not drinking for hours, or he'd risk a disaster by balancing his glass directly on the armrest.

This holder was born to keep the glass always within reach, perfectly balanced and safe from spills, without ever having to move the dog.

Obviously, you don't need a dog to appreciate it, it's a highly practical armrest cup holder that anyone can use and adapt to their needs.

Technical Details & Mounting

The model is a single-piece design, engineered to be mounted securely on a sofa armrest, but its geometry makes it extremely versatile for other uses.

• Screw Mounting: The holder features 2 pre-drilled holes for M3 self-tapping screws. This is the ideal solution for a secure mechanical anchor.
• Adhesive Mounting: The bottom of the cup holder is completely flat. This allows you to bond it using structural double-sided tape (e.g., VHB) or strong adhesive to any other smooth surface, should you prefer not to use screws.

Print Settings

The model has been tested and optimized for a quick, hassle-free print.

• Material: PLA (Printed and tested in PLA).
• Supports: NO (Completely support-free design).
• Layer Height: 0.20 mm.
• Infill: 15% - 20% (more than enough to ensure the necessary rigidity).
• Orientation: Print the model exactly as oriented in the file, with the flat base resting directly on the build plate.
