Smaug Downsized His Demands
Smaug spent centuries guarding a mountain of gold, and in the end a hobbit with a ring walked off with it right under his nose. This dragon learned the lesson: he downsized the fortune to a single sphere and wrapped himself around it with his paws, his body and his tail, like someone who just read the gas bill. He won’t let go. He wouldn’t let go even if you sent a knight.
Take a good look: wings spread as if to say “this is mine”, proper dragon horns, and wide eyes glancing sideways like he just heard the words “wait, is it a loan?”. He looks very threatening, but it’s hard to take seriously a dragon guarding a ball.
Of course it’s a lamp. The sphere is an open lattice with a slot for a led light at the center: switch it on and the light slips through the gaps and draws diamonds all over your desk. The slot is 5cm in diameter at the current size, and since the model scales as you like, you can resize it to fit whatever led light you have. The dragon isn’t a prisoner of the cage. He’s the jailer, and it shows.
This is the white PLA version: the ideal blank canvas to hand paint, color in your slicer, or leave as is, elegant like a collectible ceramic. A single printed piece: zero assembly.
