Description

THE PEAK BRUTES

In the most inhospitable peaks and among the wind-battered mountain passes roam the Peak Brutes.

These imposing creatures, resembling large gorillas but with an upright, slightly forward-leaning posture,

are a wild species endowed with sharp, calculating intelligence.

Their anatomy is a testament to brute strength: massive shoulders and robust arms, disproportionately long compared to human standards, dominate their figure. The head is completely bald, framed by a thick, coarse beard, while a dense fur coat protects the nape and neck. The rest of the body, especially in areas of greater muscle development like the chest and shoulders, is hairless, revealing leathery skin marked by the elements. Only the forearms and calves retain thick fur. In battle, they wear a loincloth made of rough, irregular animal hides.

Their society is divided by sex and destiny. Females live in structured packs, raising the young among the mountains. Males, however, once they reach maturity, are driven away from the pack and left to their fate among the rocks and snow.

They forge no weapons, but their strength is legendary. In battle, Peak Brutes are capable of hurling enormous boulders with the power of their armsr ock projectiles able to crush entire enemy formations. Despite their feral nature, their intelligence allows them to understand the value of coin and contracts: to survive, exiled males often offer themselves as mercenaries to the highest bidder.
