Description

After watching “NightHawkinLight” on Youtube making a PCM, I decided to design a Soda Can Cooler for my Wife, to keep her Diet Pepsi Cold Longer.

The Model is easy to print.

Print Body & Seal, with your Normal PLA settings.

Print the Liner in Vase Mode.

                        Phase Change Material

Recipe:

12 0z Water

4 T - Sodium Sulfate

1T - Table Salt

1T - Xantham Gum (to thicken if desired) I did not use this.

Direction:

Combine all ingredients and bring to boil until all but a trace of the Sodium Sulfate is dissolve (there should be a trace that does not dissolve), add a little more if needed.

Assembly:

Cut piece of felt to wrap around Liner and tack in place with hot glue. Cut piece of felt to go in bottom of Body.

Pour a little of the PCM in the Body, then saturate the Felt around the Liner. Now gently push the felt wrapped Liner into the body until the liquid runs over the top. Wipe everything clean.

Now put Glue on the Seal Ring and push unto the Body and Liner until glue sets and seals the unit.

Now you can freeze the Can Cooler and you will have a Drink holder that will keep your drink cold longer than ice.
