most of the tools should be pretty straightforward. The compass can be a little tricky. to draw a circle, first put a pointy object in the small hole at the base of the protractor. Take a pencil and place it in the big slot in the middle of the ruler, using the ruler to find the desired radius. The file includes a little slider that can help keep your pencil from moving as you draw your circle.
